California Pizza Kitchen at Sarasota

I’ve loved CPK for almost 30 years…. So I was very excited when they opened in Sarasota several years back…I was very quickly disappointed! First off I do not like the atmosphere of our location at all… it’s very cold and almost factory like…the locations in Tampa is amazing as is the location I go to in Chicago, great atmospheres and great service, we lack that here is Sarasota! My favorite pizza was the BLT pizza but many years ago it was removed from the menu…not sure why because they still have all the ingredients for it. Anyhow, in Tampa when I learned that the BLT pizza was removed they told me that they could still make it without issue. So when the Sarasota location opened I ordered the BLT pizza. The first time they kinda looked at me weird but went and talked to the manager and the manager said that the BLT was still in the system just buried so therefore I got my pizza, which is picture here and it was great! So a couple of years later I went again and ordered the BLT pizza… I got the same weird look as the first time…. But it was accompanied by smart remarks and the server telling me that it didn’t exist and it couldn’t be made. So I told him to ask the manager a

I really liked the aestethic of the restaurant and even the food. But the food looked better than it tasted. It was for fathers day so i let my daughter pick out where shed want to go.. she chose them. Her cheese pizza was pretty good. The Hawaiian pizza wasnt the greatest and neither pizzas were close to perfect but still tasty. I was starving after walking town and the mote all day. The service was strange.. i think the waitress was young so ik how that is but man i feel like she forgot she was supposed to be nice at times while other times she clearly was remembering. So i appreciate some effort. The food took way longer than it should of i think we waited like 30 mins post ordeeing for two of those lil pizzas lol and it was completely empty inside. It wasnt actual fathers day but a few days prior early in day but after lunch. Overall ill say 3 is fair.

We’ve been going to CPK for years in many states. CPK at UTC does not disappoint. The food is consistently good, especially the pizzas. The staff is always very friendly. Our favorite server has to be Crystal though. We make sure to request her every time we go. She’s always on top of things and always wonderful to see.

We have been loyal California Pizza Kitchen customers for many years, especially at several Broward County locations where CPK was one of our favorite places to dine multiple times a week. Since moving to Florida's West Coast, we've visited this location a few times, hoping to enjoy the same experience we've always loved. Unfortunately, it has never quite lived up to what we remember. This visit was intended to be a simple dessert stop to enjoy two of our longtime favorites: the Red Velvet Cake and the Butter Cake. We were disappointed to learn that the Red Velvet Cake is no longer offered, as it was always a huge hit for our family, especially when paired with ice cream. We decided to order the Butter Cake instead, but unfortunately it didn't seem to be the same dessert we've enjoyed for years. The flavor was noticeably different, and even the ice cream appeared to have changed. Whether it's a different recipe, ingredients, or supplier, the overall quality just wasn't what we remembered. What was equally concerning was looking around the restaurant and noticing very few guests during our visit. Of those who were there, we overheard several expressing concerns about their meals

Had a dinner with my boyfriend here and it was absolutely amazing!! I never usually write reviews but Daniel in particular was such a spectacular server, I had to! Legitimately one of the best service experience both me and my partner had, he was so attentive and great to talk to. I had the Shrimp Scampi Zucchini Pasta, and my BF had the pepperoni pizza, and we also had complimentary bread served with olive oil (which was . honestly heavenly- freshly baked with a thin crust and a warm soft inside), ended up buying a loaf to bring home! We almost loved the strawberry mango mocktail with fresco so refreshing. Highly highly recommend :) Will definitely be coming back!
